Saucony’s penchant for retro running sneakers is one of the best things happening in the footwear world right now. This month, the Originals team takes another crack at the vintage Aya runner in new premium constructions, titled the “Peaches & Cream” pack.

Born in 1994, the Saucony Aya was originally designed to perform during the lengthy running portions of triathlons. Constructed from a variety of materials including leather, mesh, and nylon, the Aya’s extremely lightweight build and layered look made them a hot commodity amongst runners at the time. Now, the team behind Saucony Originals is reviving the vintage runner for the modern market. After the initial rollout last year with some basic color schemes, Saucony is ramping up releases for the Aya in 2020, which kicked off with Raised by Wolves’ greyed-out iteration, now followed by the Spring-ready “Peaches & Cream” Pack, which launched this week. Featuring two colorways, the Southern dessert-themed pairs come in matching colorways, the first beginning with an off-white nylon base and reinforced by cream and pink suede overlays. The second takes a much bolder approach, layering the nylon and forefoot suede pieces in tones of orange, mixed with a few hits of cream white and even some bright blue to round out the look.
