Salehe Bembury’s work in the sneaker world continues to expand, currently releasing new colors of his Pollex Crocs regularly. This week, we got an early look at his take on the New Balance 990v2 Made in USA, coming soon.

Salehe Bembury’s journey with New Balance began back in 2020, releasing his ‘Peace be the Journey’ edition of the 2002R, and effectively reviving the retro running silhouette through his massively popular take. Since then, Bembury has exhibited a tour de force of sneaker collaborations, designing several more models with NB, as well as signature shoes for Anta and Crocs. Now, he is returning to release a new project with New Balance, crafting a special-edition colorway of the Made in USA 990v2. This pair begins with a dull orange spacer mesh base layer, adding thick, shaggy suede overlays in clay red, with hints of grey in the middle. The shoe’s branding is added in a bright purple shade, while a rusty orange midsole completes the look.
