The New Balance 992 s making a strong case for Silhouette of the Year in 2020, and it is barely even May. Fresh off of a high-profile collaboration with WTaps, the 992 surfaced in another new colorway this week, courtesy of a teaser from Mr. Ronnie Fieg.

The New Balance 992 “Steel Blue” might be Ronnie Fieg’s latest “Kithstrike” release. Shown off by the New York City-based boutique founder, the latest colorway of New Balance’s anniversary sneaker is one of the best we’ve seen so far this year. Following up on Ronnie’s own “Dusty Peach” release from last month, the stormy new colorway decks out the 992s layered upper in shades of grey and cream white, while mixing in a healthy serving of blue tones to counter the neutral base layers. While Ronnie is usually fairly quiet about these special-edition releases, we expect this new 992 to release in a similar fashion to the peach pair, dropping as an unannounced “Kithstrike” sometime in the next two weeks or so.

RONNIE FIEG X NEW BALANCE 992 “STEEL BLUE” RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest New Balance 992 shown off by Kith leading man Ronnie Fieg has not yet been announced for release, but given both brands’ penchant for their patented “Kithstrike” releases, this might be a tough one to get. The smoky “Steel Blue” color scheme will likely release exclusively at Kith, with the usual price tag of $200.
