Reebok’s Classics archive is pumping out more and more heat every month this year. Just this week, the brand announced the official return of the Interval 96, a high-performance running model that’s been repurposed for a more modern lifestyle.

Reebok’s string of revived silhouettes from the 80s and 90s have been massively successful for their Classics division in the past few years. The last few months have been particularly thrilling to watch, thanks to the return of sneakers like the Aztrek, Instapump Fury, and Club C 85. Now, the brand is ready to revive yet another vintage silhouette, once again pulling from the all-time greatest year in sneakers: (don’t @ me) 1996.

The Reebok Interval was first introduced in 1996 as the brand’s latest in high-performance running shoes. The Interval was a hit, thanks to its lightweight, yet thick upper that locked your feet in, combined with the responsiveness of DMX cushioning underfoot. The modern-day release retains these same key points, while also highlighting the shoe’s overall design. The shoe’s mesh upper is most notably covered by an oversized Reebok Vector logo on the lateral sides, which provides not only shape, structure, and style, but becomes a part of the shoe’s lacing system and rear pull tabs as well. More Reebok branding adorns the tongue and outer heel, while reflective 3M accents make these runners visible during all hours of the day.

The Reebok Interval 96 has officially been announced by the brand to return later this week, on July 19th, 2019. The aggressive Interval from the 90s will first make its return in three initial colorways, which will likely retail in the $120 range, and release from both Reebok and select retailers.
