British footwear brand Reebok has unveiled its latest push for more environmentally safe sneakers this week. Titled the Forever Floatride GROW, the new silhouette features plant-based materials and is USDA-Certified to feature at least 59% bio-based construction.

The push for better sustainability in the sneaker industry has brought us some interesting innovations in design, manufacturing, and materials in the last few years. This week, Reebok has unveiled their latest foray into shoes that are less harmful to the planet, introducing a new running silhouette made from a litany of plant-based materials. Titled the Forever Floatride GROW, the upcoming shoe features a textile upper made from recycled eucalyptus bark, mounted on top of a Floatride Energy Foam midsole specially made with castor bean oil. Finally, an algae-based EVA sockliner and natural rubber outsole bring the Forever Floatride GROW to a USDA-Certified total of 59% plant-based materials.
