The Reebok Beatnik is finally here. After quietly releasing via the brand’s website last week, we now also have an early look at the first collaborative Beatnik of the year, crafted by Los Angeles-based brand Pleasures.

The return of the Reebok Beatnik has been a long time coming. Originally crafted in the ’90s, the Reebok Beatnik has been a symbol of carefree style ever since, releasing every so often in special collaborations or with premium upgrades. Last time we saw the Japanese sandal-inspired silhouette, the upper was made from luxurious suede, a construction detail that returns for the next release with LA’s Pleasures. Arriving in a blacked-out build, this special-edition release remakes the Beatniks in Pleasures’ image, starting with the smooth suede upper and complete with an embroidered spider-web across each toebox. Leather lines the velcro heel strap, while Pleasures branding across the midfoot completes the look.
