The last time we saw Pharrell’s new China-exclusive NMD collection, the images were just renderings. Now, with the release day creeping up, we have a closer look at each vibrant new colorway of the adidas Hu NMD.
Pharrell and adidas are quickly adding more Hu NMD colorways to their already extensive lineup. With one release already under their belt this year and another global drop expected this Fall, the pair is getting ready for a very exclusive stash of colorways to release in China. The new pack consists of four simple colorways, which are somewhat similar to the original release from 2016. After the “China Exclusive” collection was leaked earlier this year, we now have a better look at each pair.
The Pharrell x adidas Hu NMD China collection comes in four simple, clean colorways. Each pair has a vibrant main tone with a watercolor-like pattern on the knit upper, housed in a plain white cage with white laces. As usual, the shoes have messages written across the front, with the right foot displaying an English word and the left shoe showing the Chinese characters for that word. The red pair features the word PASSION, blue is for PEACE, green is for YOUTH, and gold simply says HAPPY. The gold pair has drawn the most attention from avid consumers, and rightfully so. Made especially for Friends & Family, the cages feature metallic gold plating instead of white. Additionally, the happy shoes are limited just 300 pairs, making them one of the most limited Pharrell x adidas NMDs ever.
PHARRELL X ADIDAS NMD HU “CHINA PACK” RELEASE DATE
The new Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu collection will release exclusively in China on May 12th, 2018. While the Friends & Family pair will certainly be hard to obtain, its likely that that other colors will be just as limited as a regular release.
