Patta and New Balance have teased a new collaboration this week, following up their limited 991 release from last year. This time, the 990v3 Made in USA receives a makeover in olive green tones.

The partnership between The Netherlands’ Patta and New Balance is expanding this year, adding a third project to their growing arsenal that started back in 2020. Teaming up for special-edition releases of the 920 and then the 991 in the last two years, it’s safe to say the legendary streetwear brand is adding another strong partner to their stable of footwear collaborators. This time, the two are working on the 990v3, a current fan-favorite from the Boston brand’s 99x series of performance-turned-lifestyle shoes. Teased by Tim Sabajo, the brother of Patta founder Edison Sabajo, our first look at the Patta 990v3 is brief, showing just the heel of one shoe. The upper appears to mix leather and suede in olive green, with a brighter lime green present on the forefoot. Patta’s P logo appears on the heels, underneath the Made in USA branding.

The olive green version of the 990v3 will likely be available initially through Patta’s website, followed by a wider release from select retailers.
