adidas and Parley are bringing more incredible technology to the table with their latest silhouette. Using adidas’ new Speedfactories around the world, the two have come up with a new adidas AM4 made from recycled ocean plastic.

The adidas Speedfactory program is one of the most innovative means of production ever. The facilities are made to design, prototype, and produce new shoes in a matter of months, an unheard of number for the shoe industry. Now, adidas is bringing Parley for the Oceans into the mix, utilizing their signature recycled ocean plastic yarn for a new rendition of the Speedfactories AM4. The latest colorway will come with a “Spirit Blue” upper complete with black stripes and heel taping. The Parley upper sits on top of a full-length Boost midsole. This shoe is a wonderful use of adidas’ many recent technological innovations. The use of Parley yarns has become common in their footwear and apparel, so the transition to experimental designs is awesome to see. While very little information about this pair is currently available, expect them to be hard to grab.
