Nike ACG’s Mountain Fly Low GTX Gets a Surprise Return in 2025

With Summer approaching, Nike’s ACG division is prepping their latest collection of outdoor-ready apparel and footwear. Among the upcoming line is the OG Mountain Fly Low GTX, a sneaker from 2020 that is getting a surprise re-release this year.

The Mountain Fly model from Nike ACG was a massive hit when it first landed in 2020, as people were itching to get outside and try new gear. The Mountain Fly reigned supreme in the ACG release calendar for two years, before its successor took over in 2023. Now, new colorways of the shoe’s original low-top Gore-Tex version have suddenly surfaced, and are expected to be a part of the ACG Summer 2025 lineup.

The unexpected return of the OG Mountain Fly Low tooling comes with a selection of new color schemes for the trail-ready runner. Among the new color schemes is a dark pair in a mix of charcoal grey fabrics for the upper with black framing for the soles, taped muguards, and lacing system. This pair also sports a bright teal accent for the various branding hits, and a vivid red splash across the outsole to complete the look.

Nike Shows Off More Colors of the Air Max 1000 Coming in 2025

Last week, Nike unveiled their latest innovation in the Air Max family via a press release; the Air Max 1000. The model is the brand’s first-ever 3D-printed shoe, and released in small numbers at ComplexCon this weekend. Additionally, they showed off some new colors coming in 2025.

The Air Max 1000 is the Swoosh’s first foray into the world of 3D-printed sneakers. They first showed off the shoe last week ahead of its debut this weekend, detailing their team-up with Zellerfeld, the German printing company. Pairs at ComplexCon were limited, but Nike was also offering preorders the the all red model via a slot machine as one might expect from a Las Vegas-based convention.

In addition to the new model’s debut, Nike also brought along a handful of other colors for the shoe that are expected to release when the 1000 makes its global debut in Spring of 2025. All four styles shown are tonal, and come in blue, white, orange, or black, the latter of which is the only pair to feature a colored Air bag in Volt green. The shoes are reportedly rubbery in nature, and have a texture akin to the foam used to create adidas’ YZY Foam Runner, though those shoes are injection molded and not printed.

Nike’s launch of the new Air Max 1000 slip-on this weekend was only the initial tease of the innovative new sneaker. Pairs are expected to arrive globally in Spring 2025, and will include blue, black, orange, and white styles. No pricing for the shoe has been made public yet.

UPDATE 3/17/25: Additional photos of the 3D-printed Nike Air Max 1000 have surfaced, after debuting the model late in 2024. The four new styles are currently anticipated for a Spring release, though Nike has not shared a date yet.

The Nike Air Huarache Trainer Returns in “Sail” for 2025

Nike teamed up with Corteiz late last year to release special-edition pairs of the ’90s Air Huarache Trainer. Now, the model is making a comeback this year as an in-line model, with a Sail & Khaki combination to kick things off.

Nike first introduced their Air Huarache running shoe in 1991, pioneering the use of form-fitting neoprene in footwear. In the years to follow, Tinker Hatfield would continue to iterate on his design, transforming the model for basketball, football, baseball, and everything in between. The middle ground model, the Air Huarache Trainer, was suitable for all sports purposes, and has frequently been retro’d as a lifestyle shoe ever since.

This year will herald another return of the Huarache Trainer, after London’s Corteiz released several styles of the shoe late in 2024. We have an early look at one of the model’s new colorways this week, which pits the Trainer in a simple color scheme mixing Sail white shades with a light Khaki tan across the leather, suede, and neoprene construction.

NIKE AIR HUARACHE TRAINER “SAIL/KHAKI” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s in-line releases of the Air Huarache Trainer retro have not been given an official release date yet, but are coming sometime soon in Spring 2025. Among the first releases will be the “Sail/Khaki” combo, releasing from both Nike and select retailers for $140.

First Look at the Nike SB Dunk Low “Cinnamon”

Nike’s SB team is keeping their release calendar full this year, with more and more styles popping up for the 2025 slate. This week, we have an early look at a new “Cinnamon” color scheme of the Dunk Low Pro, expected late this year.

The SB Dunk has been consistent in its releases over the last few years, after Nike blew the floodgates wide open and flooded the market with their in-line Dunk releases. The SB team has kept their version safe, maintaining the limited accessibility and non-standard drops through local skate shops. However, no one is immune to leaks, and this week we have an early look at a new Dunk Low Pro coming this year.

The Nike SB team has always had excellent choices in their color, and this latest new style is no different. Currently expected for a late 2025 release in Fall or Winter, the “Cinnamon” shade of reddish-brown is a perfect seasonal accent for the Fall. The look mixes in Dark Russet and Copper shades for a slightly varied color across the upper, as well as a white heel tab to complete the look.

NIKE SB DUNK LOW PRO “CINNAMON” RELEASE INFORMATION

The latest pair of Nike SB’s Dunk Low Pro to surface does not have a release date yet, but is currently speculated to release late in 2025. The tonal “Cinnamon” brown edition will likely be available from both Nike and select local skateshops, with a price tag of $125.

Nike’s Air Max Craze in White Releases in 2025

Nike is reviving another sneaker from the turn-of-the-century Alpha Project this year, bringing the Air Max Craze back to their catalog for the first time. This week, a new all-white pair has surfaced, coming soon.

In 1999, Nike introduced the Alpha Project, a series of brand new footwear designs and innovations that focused on athlete-first technology. Many of the shoes introduced are still major parts of the Swoosh’s history, like the Air Presto, Air Tuned Max, and Flightposite, all of which have seen retro releases in recent years. During their last SNKRS Showcase, they unveiled the next Alpha shoe to return; the Air Max Craze.

Released after the initial wave of Alpha sneakers, the Craze made its first appearance in the early 2000s. The shoe was designed as an ultralight running shoe, stripping down a performance shoe to strictly what was necessary. This meant a mule-like design with a strap reaching around the heels, and a zippered shroud for aerodynamics. With the Craze returning this Spring, a new all-white style has appeared this week, with accents in Metallic Gold and Copper Moon.

NIKE AIR MAX CRAZE “WHITE” RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike’s retro of the Air Max Craze does not have an official release date yet, but pairs are expected to start dropping in April 2025. Seen here in white with metallic gold accents, pairs will be available from both Nike and select retailers for $170.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is getting ready to enter a new era in his Nike partnership, releasing the seventh iteration of his signature line. This week, the Greek Freak himself gave us an early look at two colors of the Freak 7, coming later this year.

Nike’s Basketball division appears to be heading in a new direction when it comes to sharing their signature athlete’s upcoming new models. Last week, Ja Morant shared a string of new releases for his sneakers, and this week Giannis Antetokounmpo has followed suit, taking to Instagram to give us a behind-the-scenes look at the Nike Freak 7. Bode’s New Nike Astrograbber Colors Are Available Now

Bode and Nike made waves this year with the debut of their Astrograbber collaboration, a first for the upscale cut-and-sew brand. Now, they are rumored to be reprising the release with new colorways for 2025.

Their clothing is handmade in New York state, and is constructed from antique fabrics, victorian quilts, and any other unique textiles they can get their hands on. Their first foray into the world of sneakers came this year, when they teamed up with Nike to revive the Astrograbber, a 1974 soccer trainer. Now, they are rumored to be releasing more pairs next year.

Bode’s first pass on the Astrograbber, was simple, but elegant. Available in off-white and black colors, knit or leather, they stuck to the brand’s ethos through elevated materials. Their second take on the model is expected to follow suit, though for now we only have the shoe’s information and no real photos. One pair will reprise the Black & Coconut Milk palette, though hopefully in new materials or color blocking. The second is expected in Chlorophyll green, though the mock-up pictured is more true to the natural tone than Nike’s usual vibrant shade.
