The Reebok InstaPump Fury is back. After celebrating twenty-five years on retail shelves last year, the advanced runner returns for a special-edition collaboration with New York’s Opening Ceremony this month, decorating the shoe in two plaid colorways.
Reebok’s Instapump Fury was an incredible innovation at the time of its first release in 1994. Even now, the pumped air technology inside is still relevant and evolving today. This week, New York’s Opening Ceremony unveiled their unique take on the ’90s runner, which covers not one but two pairs in colorful tartan plaid prints. Printed from heel to toe, the first pair features a simple grid pattern marked by large yellow and black stripes, with small hints of red strewn throughout. The second is much darker, mixing shades of forest green and navy blue with pink and white grid lines to complete the look. Each pair also features an oversized Opening Ceremony logo across each heel.
OPENING CEREMONY X REEBOK INSTAPUMP FURY “PLAID” RELEASE INFORMATION
The upcoming project from New York’s Opening Ceremony and Reebok has not yet been given an official release date in the United States, though both colorways are currently available from Reebok’s Canadian website. Retail prices have yet to be revealed for this pair, but we estimate they will fall somewhere in the $150+ range.
