Images of new Nikes for 2018 have been constantly appearing online since the start of the year. Now, another silhouette has been added to the Chinese Lunar New Year collection, the Nike Foamposite One.

This collection comes yearly from the Swoosh, and almost always features classic shoes that are being honored that year, or interesting new silhouettes from the brand. The pack celebrates the Chinese New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, a time to celebrate the transition to a new season and calendar year. This year’s collection has already been confirmed to contain the Air Jordan 6, Air Jordan 32, Nike SF-AF1, and Air Force 1, and now, a new silhouette has surfaced online to join them. The Nike Foamposite One was a revolutionary shoe when it first released. With multiple collaborations and extremely pricey colorways under their belt, Nike has adorned this pair with a CNY theme fitting with the rest of the pack. The foam upper appears to take on three main colors, gold in the toe, blue in the midfoot, and purple around the heel. The reflective sheen of the material makes the shoes stand out to appear holographic, while fixed graphics on the side add plenty of details. These graphics are inline with the rest of the collection, featuring fireworks and flowers that are staples in celebrating the New Year. The lining and tongue of the shoe are black, and feature a mini red Swoosh along the forefoot. The carbon fiber plate under the arch is a simple grey and black checkered pattern, while the translucent purple outsole finishes off the shoe.

No official release date has been given for the Nike Foamposite One “Lunar New Year” yet, but it can be expected to arrive sometime early in February 2018. Stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more information & updates.
