Nike’s “Tianjin” Air Foamposite Returns in a 2.0 Edition for Spring 2026

Key Details

Price: $250Style Code: IR2078-100Release Date: June 4, 2026

  • The Nike Air Foamposite "Tianjin 2.0" reinterprets the 2015 China-exclusive original, building on the all-over print of koi fish and lotus flowers that made the first Tianjin a Foamposite icon.
  • A black base with a cherry red rubber outsole anchored the original 2015 release, and the 2.0 edition is expected to evolve that color story while preserving the Chinese artwork motif.
  • The Foamposite's sculpted molded upper provides a unique canvas for the Tianjin print, with the city's sneaker community having long claimed the silhouette as its unofficial home shoe.

UPDATE 5/26/26: After the leaked in-hand pair surfaced last month, Nike has officially published the “Tianjin 2.0” Foamposite to their US SNKRS release calendar. Originally assume to be a China-exclusive drop like its predecessor, this pair will get a global release soon on June 4th, 2026. Given the highly detailed nature of this pair, we still expect them to be very limited.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Nike’s Air Foamposite has tons of iconic and fan-favorite colorways, but one of their most unique releases is relatively recent, the 2015 “Tianjin” edition. Now, new leaks suggest the Swoosh is running it back this Spring with an alternate 2.0 edition.

Nike has steadily increased their tributes to Chinese sneaker culture over the last two decades. As the Swoosh’s popularity has risen overseas, the brand has celebrated the long history of rich culture through tons of special releases that celebrate holidays like Lunar New Year, special events, and specific cities, like Tianjin. Tianjin sneakerheads have unofficially declared the Foamposite as their home’s official sneaker, and Nike openly acknowledged that with their 2015 release of the silhouette, decorated with an all-over print of Chinese artwork including koi fish and lotus flowers. The look came in black with a cherry red rubber outsole, and now, eleven years later, Nike is cooking up a “Tianjin 2.0” release. Reportedly dropping in May 2026, this second edition will likely be another China-exclusive drop, and revisits the same koi and lotus-based artwork as the original. However, this time the base shade of black has been swapped out in favor of an all-white look.
