New Balance 998 Made in USA “Chrome Blue” Coming Soon

New Balance is gearing up for their next batch of sneakers from the Made in USA series, under creative direction of Teddy Santis. Among the new styles is a fresh take on the 998, dressed in navy and “Chrome Blue”.

Last year, New Balance revived another iconic member of the 99x family, returning the 1993 998 to their arsenal, and placing it exclusively in the Made in USA branch. The vintage running shoe released a number of times through the Teddy Santis-led Seasonal program, and will continue to star in the program with new releases for the remaining Fall and Winter season.

This week, one of the new takes on the 998 popped up at select retailers, along with the Boston brand’s own official imagery. The new look comes in a “Chrome Blue” shade, which is paired with a dark NB navy tone for most of the shoes upper. These shades are broken up with the addition of a tan shade to the shoe’s mid layers and sole, with a touch of white to complete the look.
