New Balance’s 992 continues to arrive in new colorways, continuing last year’s 15th-anniversary celebration into 2022. This week, we have an early look at a bold new “Cobalt Blue” style, coming soon.

The New Balance 992 remains a part of the brand’s lineup for the new year. After celebrating the storied silhouette’s fifteenth anniversary in 2021, in which the 992 released in a record number of new styles, the mid-2000s runner is back with another new entry for 2022. Utilizing the brand’s Made in USA version, which features elevated materials and higher quality construction, begins with a striking blue suede and mesh base layer for the shoe. The midfoot shank panels come in darker navy blue, which extends to wrap around the heels, while a dusty grey quarter panel breaks up the blue tones in the midfoot. Reflective ‘N’ logos decorate either side, while tiny orange hits add some color to the white midsole.
