New Balance’s 991 silhouette has been popping up in plenty of new colorways this year, in celebration of the silhouette’s 20th anniversary. Today, we are taking a closer look at a new Made in England pair, with bold “Petrol Blue” overlays.

New Balance’s anniversary celebration of the 991 continues this week, with another edition of the Made in England version appearing on shelves in an exciting new color scheme. The latest new style is more tonal than recent releases like last month’s Earth tones pair, this time favoring simple shades of grey and blue to achieve an eye-catching design. This 991 begins with a light grey mesh for the shoe’s base layer, while darker grey reinforcement pieces outline the toe box and ankle. The 991’s signature suede overlays come in a silky “Petrol Blue” tone, matched by the 991’s New Balance branding on the tongue and heels while a two-tone white midsole complete the look.
