The 990v6 from New Balance is one of the few silhouettes that is strictly part of the Made in USA program. While we’ve seen a number of releases for the runner from the Teddy Santis side of things, NB has continued to produce stand-alone pairs to fill out their catalog, the latest of which arrived this week in a smooth purple & navy blue color scheme.
The New Balance 990v6, the latest silhouette in their famous 990 family finally released in 2023, after months of the brand teasing the upgraded design. The silhouette’s debut was aided by a number of collaborations including projects from Action Bronson and Carhartt, and has since settled into standard-issue releases, as well as elevated styles from the Teddy Santis-designed collections. Their latest pair of the model dropped quietly on the brand’s website today, dressing the shoe in a simple look. This style features a subtle combination of purple and navy blue throughout its mesh, leather, and suede upper, mixing the two seamlessly to create a near-tonal look. Dark navy blue makes up the branding elements and laces, while a white and grey sole completes the look.
