New Balance’s “Paris” 990v6 Releases in July

Sneaker brand are lining up their Olympic-themed releases for this year’s Summer Games this month. This week, a new “Paris” release from New Balance’s 990v6 has surfaced, paying homage to this year’s host city with a lush new color scheme.

Olympic-themed sneakers are about to flood the release calendar for the next few weeks, ahead of the Games’ kickoff later this month. We’ve already previewed a number of releases from Nike, adidas, and more, all of which are going the route of national and medal-themed colorways. However, New Balance appears to be cooking up a special release honoring this year’s host city of Paris, France.

The upcoming “Paris” edition of the New Balance 990v6 has not been officially regarded by the Boston brand, but a handful of early photos have appeared online this week. This version is said to be fairly limited in number, and rumored to release exclusively in Paris later this month. The look features a white mesh base for the upper with layers of leather and suede in dark shades of brown. The oversized ‘N’ logos come in a dark green shade, while red satin lining completes the look.
