Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance appear to have a few more releases in store for 2024. After helping debut the 1000 in a three-piece collection, the two are gearing up for more special-edition products for Fall 2024, including a Made in USA pair of the 990v4 in a simple “Olive” color scheme.
Alongside their excellent collaborative releases, Aimé Leon Dore has also released a number of special make-up colorways from New Balance. These products are essentially in-line releases to be distributed exclusively by ALD, and usually pop up quietly on the brand’s website alongside new clothing collections. We saw this late last year with the 996, and now, it appears they have another on the way featuring the Made in USA 990v4.
The standard-issue releases from ALD and New Balance tend to use simpler color palettes, and stick with the shoe’s usual materials and builds. For their upcoming take on the 990v4, this is no different, slightly tweaking New Balance’s own in-line version of an “Olive” green colorway. The pair features olive mesh underlays with dark olive pigskin suede outer layers, with light grey leather bridging the gap in between.

The next release from Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance has not been announced yet, but will likely arrive sometime in Fall 2024. Featuring the Made in USA 990v4 as their canvas, this pair comes in olive green and grey, and will be available exclusively through ALD for an expected $210.
