The 990v6 from New Balance continues to receive excellent new colors from the Boston brand for the FW24 Made in USA collection. This week, we have our first look at the “Dark Ember” red pair, coming soon.
New Balance’s 990v6 continues to be a steady staple of their Made in USA seasonal collection, arriving in fresh styles every few weeks to keep the ball rolling. The model was introduced as a strictly MiUSA silhouette, and builds on decades of 990 models before it. This week, new pairs have surfaced for this month, including a stunning “Dark Ember” red style.
Red is a rare color in the New Balance catalogue. We’ve seen a handful of bright red releases so far in 2024 including JoeFreshGoods’ take on the v6, as well as a 1000 in an eye-catching shade. This pair of the 990v6 is different, opting for a dark, almost burgundy shade. The look begins with a cream white mesh base layer, adding mid layers in black suede. The shoe’s mudguard, eyestays, and tongues come in the lush red tone, with some white to balance out the palette.
