New Balance has delivered a wide range of colorways of the 990 family through their Made in USA line this year, with plenty more in the pipeline. This week, we got an early look at a white & blue color scheme, coming soon.
Boston footwear brand New Balance has ramped up their Made in USA releases this year, producing a range of new colorways across the 990 family in collaboration with Teddy Santis, the line’s new creative director. While we seem to have run through the original lineup first shown by the ALD frontman, New Balance still has some surprises in store for the rest of the year, including this new white & blue color scheme of the 990v3 that surfaced this week. Beginning with a white mesh underlay, black mid layers separate the base from the off-white outer nubuck leather, while hints of photo blue and a navy ‘N’ logo complete the look.

New Balance’s next release of the in-line 990v3 has not been given an official release date, though they are expected to arrive in stores sometime in 2022. Featuring off-white shades of leather, pairs will be available from both the brand’s website and select retailers, likely with the usual price tag of $200. UPDATE 10/9/22: New Balance has fully unveiled their new Seasonal Collection for the Made in USA project, designed in collaboration with Teddy Santis. Featuring the range of footwear alongside the matching apparel in Fall tones, this white & blue pair is scheduled to release next month, on November 23rd, 2022. Pairs will be available via New Balance’s launch page for $200.
