The New Balance “Version” series launched earlier this Summer, casting the consecutive numbered pairs of the brand’s fan-favorite 990 family in classic NB color schemes. This week, the 990v3 launches in a smooth grey look.

New Balance’s 99x series has seen a surge in popularity in recent years, driving New Balance to produce more and more pairs of the most popular versions. Last month, the Boston brand has announced a special series of releases celebrating their most well-known running line, delivering the shoes in their original color schemes leading up to the release of the 99x line’s latest addition, 2022’s 990v6. The project launched back in June of this year, and has slowly progressed to this week’s release of the 990v3 in a classic New Balance grey color scheme. Featuring a neutral grey mesh base with matching suede overlays, this pair adds gunmetal grey elements to the mid-layers and tongue, while flashy scarlet red accents adorn the tongue and Version tab branding.

New Balance has scheduled the next entry in its ongoing “Version” series, featuring the 990v3, for next week on November 5th, 2021.The classic grey color scheme on the essential runner will be available from both New Balance and select retailers, with a price tag of $185 for this special-edition release.
