Early this month, New Balance debuted the first collection of Made in USA sneakers led by Teddy Santis. Now, the pair have unveiled their next release, casting the 990v3 in a clean ‘Sea Salt’ colorway perfect for Summer.
The partnership between New Balance and Teddy Santis grew much stronger last year, when the Boston brand named the Aimé Leon Dore founder and designer as its creative director for the Made in USA line. Since the news broke, fans of both brands anxiously awaited the first release to bear Teddy’s signature touch, and were delighted by his initial projects in the 990 family that released this month. Now, New Balance is quick to follow that up with a new batch of 990 silhouettes in a clean ‘Sea Salt’ color scheme. Seen here in the 990v3, this look begins with a white mesh base layer with crisp white leather overlays across the midfoot and heel, while an off-white suede toe cap and 3M reflective mid layers add some depth to the color palette. Cream white laces pair with an aged yellow hit on the midsole, while a steel grey tongue overlay completes the look.

New Balance’s next colorway of the 990v3 Made in USA, designed in collaboration with ALD’s Teddy Santis, has been scheduled to release next week on May 26th, 2022. Pairs of the new ‘Sea Salt’ color scheme will be available from both New Balance and select retailers with a price tag of $210.
