New Balance’s Made in USA series from designer Teddy Santis has another release on the way this week, featuring the 990v2 in a bright ‘Marigold’ orange color scheme.
The New Balance 990 family has been the focus of Teddy Santis’ debut Made in USA collection with the brand, releasing in a host of styles and colorways over the past several months. One of the standout silhouettes from the project has been the 990v2, which originally released in 1998, nearly two decades after the introduction of the original model. This week, the latest entry in the collection from ALD’s frontman casts the v2 in a bright new orange color scheme, something different from the neutral releases that have dominated the project. The look begins with a ‘Marigold’ mesh base layer, with black suede mid layers added to the toes, heel counters, and New Balance ‘N’ logos. Bright orange suede covers the shoe’s outer layers, matching the ‘Marigold’ base. while cream white tongues, soles, and laces complete the look.

New Balance’s next colorway of the Teddy Santis-designed 990v2 Made in USA has been scheduled to release next week, on August 12th, 2022. The bright ‘Marigold’ orange color scheme will be available from New Balance and select retailers with a price tag of $195. UPDATE 10/3/22: A number of styles from New Balance’s Made in USA run are arriving in overseas retailers this month, giving us another chance at some of the Boston brand’s most sought-after releases of the year. On Wednesday, U.K. retailer END. Clothing will release their stock of the ‘Marigold’ orange 990v2 through their online Launches platform for $245.
