The New Balance 1906R is making its way into the brand’s main-line arsenal this week, launching in its first standard colorways after the debut of thisisneverthat’s collaborative version last week.

New Balance has been slowly rolling out their new 1906R silhouette, combining the original upper of the 2009 running shoe with a new sole unit from the 860v2. This week, the brand is ready to launch their first in-line colorways, which will make their debut in Asian markets before finding their way stateside in the coming weeks. Cast in two colorways for the ‘Past & Future’ pack, each shoe nods to a respective era of footwear design. The ‘Past’ version rehashes the original colorway of the 1906, featuring a plain white base layer with added accents in black and gold, while the ‘Future’ pair is more modern, featuring an olive-tinged grey upper with charcoal mesh base layers and metallic silver accents strewn throughout.
