Our first look at New Balance 1906D from the Protection Pack came last week, and already, more colorways of the modified silhouette have begun to surface. Check out the new ‘Beige’ look, coming sometime in 2022.
The New Balance ‘Protection Pack’ from 2021 was widely considered one of the best releases of the year, converting the fan-favorite 2002R from its clean cut look to a jagged, unique new style. While considered an in-line release, the shoes were near-impossible to get hands on, as they would pop-up and sell out at global retailers randomly all Summer long. Now, New Balance is running it back with the 1906D, a variation on the 1906R which recently made its debut, though there is no clear difference between the D and R versions yet. This week, a ‘Beige’ colorway of the silhouette surfaced online, showing off a tonal mesh and suede upper for the shoe, paired with a blacked out midsole unit underfoot.

New Balance’s ‘Protection Pack’ style of the 1906D silhouette has not yet been announced for release, though we are hoping to see them launch sometime in 2022. Seen here in tonal ‘Beige’ with a black midsole, the shoes will likely be available from both New Balance’s website and select global retailers.
