New Balance has been celebrating the 40th anniversary of their Flimby, England manufacturing facility, which produces all of the brand’s Made in UK silhouettes. This week, the 1500 arrived in a new grey & navy blue makeup, available now.

New Balance’s classic 1500 long-distance running shoe is not exactly their most popular model in the US, but is certainly a staple in their overseas lineup. One of the regulars of the Made in UK line, the large sneaker has gathered a number of excellent styles in recent years, handmade in the Flimby, England facility, though this year has been plentiful thanks to the manufacturing plant’s 40th anniversary. This week, a new style joined the collection, dressing the silhouette in high quality leathers as per usual. This pair features a grey mesh underlay for the toe box, with a hint of navy blue on the sides. Small strips of navy blue leather act as interfacing between the base and outer grey leather layers, while an off-white midsole completes the new look.
