Asics is on a bit of a globe trotting journey this year, teaming up with a range of collaborators around the world and covering nearly every continent. This month, they’ve revealed a new project with Korea’s The Museum Visitor, featuring three colorways of the GEL-Kayano 14.
The GEL-Kayano 14 from Asics has been one of their most popular models in recent years. The running shoe first released back in 2008, but has since been retrofitted into a sportstyle model, and used as a canvas for a huge number of special projects and collaborations to bolster their in-line arsenal. This month, they’ve tapped a new first-time collaborator to create three limited edition styles; Korean apparel brand The Museum Visitor.
Asics world tour of collaborations is taking them to South Korea this month, to link up with The Museum Visitor for a range of colors styled on the GEL-Kayano 14. This edition of the silhouette adds a lace shroud to each model, which features an oversized ‘a’ logo in the style of a dress shoe kiltie. Three colors have been produced, the first in shades of black and grey with some metallic silver accents. Next, a white and blue pair with more silver hints, and finally, a pure white and gold matte look to complete the pack.
