The partnership between fashion house Maison Margiela and Reebok is continuing into 2022, kicking the new year off with a fresh take on the Classic Leather Décortiqué from last year, coming soon in a low-top iteration.

The relationship between fashion label Maison Margiela and Reebok began in 2020, with the Margiela house designing their highly unique takes on beloved Reebok silhouettes like the Club C and Classic Leather. As one might expect, the initial designs for these shoes simply added Margiela’s signature Tabi toe to the design, transforming the vintage tennis trainer into a fashion sneaker. Then, in 2021, the two debuted the Classic Leather Décortiqué, a high-top Classic that featured many of the shoe’s underlays removed for a hollow, sandal-like design. Now, that Décortiqué is evolving, changing its shape into a low-top for the new year. Unveiled this week and set to release at the end of the month, the new Maison Margiela x Reebok Classic Leather Décortiqué Low will arrive in four colorways, black, white, red, and the collaborator’s signature cement-like stained look.

The latest collaborative efforts from Reebok and fashion house Maison Margiela, the low-top version of the Classic Leather Décortiqué, has been scheduled to launch later this month, on January 28th, 2022. Available in four colorways initially, the Margiela Classic Leather will be available from both partners’ websites, with a price tag of $595 per pair attached.
