adidas has created nearly an entire archive of products with Nigo and his various brands over the years, except for one. However, that changes this year. This week, the Japanese designer took to IG to share the second colorway of his Human Made Solar Glide ST.
The last time we saw Human Made’s flying heart logo on an adidas shoe, Pharrell Williams’ signature footwear was also being displayed as a part of the collection. While the clean new look has appeared several times on the feet of the Virginia Beach artist since it wasn’t until this week that Nigo himself gave his own sneak peek at the new project.
The collaboration between Human Made and adidas marks the first for the Japanese brand, whose founder has been involved with the Three Stripes for nearly 20 years. While the first pictures included the Human Made logo added to the toe box of Pharrell’s signature NMD and Tennis Hu silhouettes, the star of the show was the Solar Glide St Hu, which also added the colorful logo to an otherwise all-white shoe. Now, months later, Nigo has taken to his Instagram to show that the project has not been forgotten, and even includes a pair of the Human Made Solar Glide with a bold blue logo on the toes.
While Nigo hasn’t shared any information as to when the project between Human Made and adidas could be released, we expect them to drop sometime before the end of Summer 2019. The matching red & blue Solar Glide ST colorways will likely go for more than their $150 standard, and release in limited numbers from select adidas partners. Check out Nigo’s sneak peek below for a better look, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more adidas release news.
UPDATE: Nigo’s HUMAN MADE x adidas Solar Glide is officially scheduled to release on May 3rd, exclusively in Japan for a retail price of $180.
