The Salomon XT-6 has become a favorite amongst high-fashion sneaker heads over the last year, and the French outdoot/ski brand is ready for the challenge. This week, the XT-6 arrives in a special colorway, courtesy of Japan’s Fumito Ganryu.
Salomon’s outdoor-minded footwear has exploded in popularity over the last two years, as a variety of silhouettes made the jump from the trail to the runway. Now, Salomon is feeding both sides of the aisle with special projects from well-known designers using their trail running sneakers as a canvas, like Fumito Ganryu’s stealthy take on the S-Lab XT-6 ADV, dropping later this week. First show off by the Japanese designer last week at their Paris 2020 fashion show, the Fumito x Salomon XT-6 adds a striking colorway to an already eye-catching shoe. First, the majority of the upper, from mesh base layer to taped overlays, comes in black, with some of the overlaid elements featuring a slight reflective sheen to the outer layers. The XT-6’s plush inner lining as well as the midsole’s stiff support layer both come in yellow, adding just enough color to turn heads.

Salomon’s latest colorway of the fan-favorite S-Lab XT-6 by Fumito Ganryu has been scheduled to release later this week on Friday, February 7th, 2020. The limited-edition colorway will be available from both collaborative partners, as well as select third party retailers for an elevated prive of $275.
