Eric Emanuel has a new partnership this month, which sees the New York City-based designer teaming up with Reebok. The first silhouette Eric will tackle pays homage to his childhood hero, Allen Iverson. Check out the Eric Emanuel Answer 5, coming soon.
Eric Emanuel’s love of all things vintage basketball is contagious. The designers clothing show’s this passion across a range of in-line old-school sportswear-inspired shorts and pants as well as well-executed collaborations with huge name brands. This week, Emanuel has unveiled the next in this line of projects, which sees the New York designer working with Reebok on bright colorways of Allen Iverson’s legendary Answer 5. The first colorway from EE paints the shoe’s mostly leather upper in a bright “Track Gold” tone, with shiny silver overlays extending from the midsole to cover the lacing system. Navy blue hits adorn the inner lining and eyelets, while a reworked AI logo features Eric’s EE branding to replace the number 3. While this was our first look at the EE x Reebok Answer 5, Eric has since shown images of a white & pink colorway that is also expected to release alongside the gold iteration.

Eric Emanuel’s new project with Reebok, focusing on Allen Iverson’s Answer 5, is scheduled to release later this month on July 20th, 2019. The bright new look for the Answer will retail for a cool $140, and will likely be available from select Reebok accounts, alongside Emanuel’s personal site as well as Reebok’s.
