DTLR and New Balance have a new project on the way this week, this time taking on the 2002R with a ‘Lovers Only’ color scheme to celebrate their home in the DMV area.
DMV retailer DTLR has a new project with New Balance releasing this week, following up on their greyscale 990v3 that debuted back in February. Once again, the storied retailer is celebrating their home in the DMV, with a ‘Lovers Only’ edition of the 2002R. The pair features a light grey mesh base layer, with matching suede overlays on top. Black sections are stuck in between the layered look for added depth, while cream accents make up the laces and midsole. Finally, dual red and blue hits add a splash of color to the neutral look.

DTLR’s latest project with New Balance has been scheduled to release later this week, on May 26th, 2024. The ‘Lovers Only’ 2002R will be available exclusively from the retailer’s website and retail stores, with a price tag of $165.
