The union of Carhartt’s timeless work gear and Salomon’s all-conditions footwear is a match made in sneaker heaven. Announced last week, and already available in limited sizes, the new project from Carhartt and the Alpine footwear and apparel brand gives the Work in Progress team a crack at the Shelter CSWP boot. The Carhartt WIP edition begins with a dark navy blue ripstop base layer for the upper, adding taped overlays in grey and black for some dark layering. The midsole mixes in pale olive green tones, while pared-back branding delivers a very minimal design.

The new Carhartt WIP x Salomon Shelter CSWP boot launched from both partners earlier this week, largely selling out in most sizes, though some smaller pairs are still available directly from Carhartt WIP’s website. However, a global release is still set for later this week, on February 17th, releasing from retailers that deal in both Carhartt and Salomon for $195.
