The Reebok Club C has taken on some interesting projects in the last two years, as the vintage tennis shoe exploded in popularity. This week, Japan’s BEAMS has unveiled their take, removing the heels to create the new Club C Laceless Mule
Reebok and Japanese retailer BEAMS have been teaming up for some exciting projects in the last few years, but this month’s release feels like a significant gear shift. Taking on the fan-favorite Club C, a retro tennis model, this time around the BEAMS team has modified the sneaker to their liking by removing the heels of the pair to create a mule-like style of shoe, while retaining everything we love about the classic Club C. The modifications don’t end at the heels either, as the new construction sort of eliminates the need for laces and adjustment, so the tongue is instead attached to the rest of the upper for a more solid feel. The BEAMS x Reebok Club C Laceless Mule will debut in a solid white color scheme, featuring light grey outsoles and dual branding, while an open name tag space on the lateral side of the right shoe gives you a place to mark them as your own.

The latest project from Japan’s BEAMS and Reebok, the laceless mule Club C, is scheduled to debut later this week on September 25th, 2021, exclusively from the BEAMS Japan website and retail stores, followed by a global release on October 1st. The latter drop will see the Club C Mule release from both Reebok and select fashion retailers, with a price tag of $120 for the modified silhouette.
