New York’s Awake has been on fire the past few months, thanks to their wildly popular Asics project that released last year. Now, Angelo Baque and crew are teaming up with Reebok for an eye-catching take on the InstaPump Fury Proto.
This weekm, we have our first up close look at the upcoming project between New York-based streetwear label Awake and sportswear brand Reebok. While the new team-up is somewhat surprising, it is not the first project we’ve seen from the two, as Awake quietly teased an early look at their colorful take on the classic Club C last year. Now, we have a good look at their InstaPump Fury Proto, which follows the same color scheme as the leaked pair. First, the mesh base layer is colored jet black for a solid beginning. Then, the InstaPump’s neoprene overlays come in neon green, which extends down to the two-part midsole. Royal blue hits can be seen on the tongue and heel, while Awake branding completes the look.

The upcomin AWAKE NY x Reebok InstaPump Fury Proto has not yet been announced for release, though they are expected to hit retail shelves sometime in the next few months. The colorful new collaboration will likely take the InstaPump above its usual $180 price point. UPDATE (3/14/20): AWAKE NY’s take on the classic Reebok InstaPump Fury released yesterday, March 13th, 2020. The bright color blocking for the futuristic sneaker is currently avaialble directly from the New York brand’s website, retailing for $180.
