Video game tie-in sneakers appear to be ramping up this year, as we edge closer to the new console launch next month. This week, Reebok has revealed a new collaboration with Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla resulting in a Viking-themed Club C Revenge, coming soon.
The next generation of video game consoles is almost upon us, bringing with them a new generation of games. Among the first to release will be Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, the twelfth entry in the massively popular historical fiction series. This time around, the stealth-based Assassin protagonists are Vikings, driven from their ancestral homes in search of new land in England. This year also introduces a first for the AC franchise: the brand’s first footwear collaboration. Announced earlier this week, Ubisoft, the studio behind Assassin’s Creed, is teaming up with Reebok for a Viking-inspired edition of the Club C Revenge trainer. The limited-edition release kicks off with a plain white full-grain leather base accented by Reebok’s Vector logo overlaid in black. The typical Reebok branding has been replaced with “Like a Viking”, while two crossed axes also nod to the Norse weapon of choice. Teal blue accents appear on the heel counters and outsoles, while the tongues are co-branded with both Reebok’s and the Assassin’s logo.

The upcoming project from Reebok and Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla has been scheduled to launch shortly after the game itself next month, on November 11th, 2020. The Viking-inspired take on the Club C Revenge will be available from both brands as well as select retailers like Fenom with a price tag of approximately $105.
