While the Sashiko theme continues to trend upwards in the fashion industry, Jordan Brand will be the next brand to implement the theme to none other than the Air Jordan 4.

While the Air Jordan 4 has always had a giant crew of fans following the sneaker around, ever since 2018, demand for the shoe has been different. 2018 housed the Travis Scott AJ4, two collaborations with Levi’s, and the coveted Raptor colorway. Although those are just prime examples of what the Jordan 4 has to offer, 2018 had many out to get a pair that never had before and the AJ4 looked like the next big thing. Transition two years later and the sneaker is still one of the hottest out, now with an official collaboration with Virgil Abloh going down previously this summer.

Now up next in a non-collaborative effort, Jordan Brand will be applying the Sashiko print to a patchwork upper. Arriving in an official colorway of Deep Ocean, Sail, Cement Grey, and Fire Red, the upper arrives in quilted formation displaying denim blues and hints of red throughout. Due to the theme, Japanese motifs are placed in while mismatched sock liners, laces and tongues add an interesting take to the shoe. A Sail midsole then finishes off the great new design.
