Since its original release in 1988, the Air Jordan 3 OG Black Cement can commonly be found at the top of many sneakerhead’s all-time-favorites lists. This year, Jordan Brand will celebrate the 30 year anniversary of the Jordan 3 with a special release.

The Air Jordan 3 carries decades of history behind it. Over the years, the legendary silhouette has graced the feet of everyone from Kid Cudi, to Lily Allen, and even Kim Kardashian. Now, in 2018, as Jordan Brand gears up to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Michael Jordan’s most beloved sneaker, more images and a release date have appeared of the Air Jordan 3 OG ‘Black Cement’. Arguably one of the most popular pairs of sneakers on the planet, expect this release to be a little hectic as original Jordan collectors and new sneakerheads alike try to secure their pair.

For this release, Jordan Brand will switch back to the original Nike Air branding on the heel of the shoe, a feature long sought after by fans of the 1988 pairs. The rest of the shoe remains largely the same as it has appeared before, with a mostly black and grey leather upper, supported by the infamous Jordan elephant print around the heel and toe  to add visual texture. Pops of red add color to the eyelets, logo, and outsole of the shoe, as well as rounding out the ever popular black and red color scheme that is so relevant to the Jordan Brand. Continue reading below to view release information & in-hand images, and stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for more Jordan 3 updates.

The Air Jordan 3 Black Cement is expected to release in both men’s and grade school sizes on February 17, 2018. This date coincides with both the 30th anniversary of the shoe, as well as Michael Jordan’s birthday, meaning the brand probably has something special in store for one of the most popular shoes ever made.
