The new adidas Yung-1 has started to release in all sorts of colorways, even being included in special brand collaborations. Now, two exciting new colorways have popped up overseas, covering the shoe in plaid for a bit of visual texture.

The adidas Yung-1 is slowly taking over release calendars. First previewed late last year, the Yung-1 is a slightly updated take on the 1996 Falcondorf, a cult-classic running shoe from the Three Stripes. With the chunky shoe trend in full swing, 2018 seemed like the best time to bring back the often-forgotten running classic. Recently, adidas London held a special release of the Yung-1 in collaboration with Absolute Vintage. Arriving in black and white, both pairs were accented by a red plaid underlay and released in extremely limited numbers. However, it appears that a similar idea has made its way to market with the Yung-1. This morning, two new colorways of the silhouette surfaced on adidas Japan, showing two tonal black pairs that each feature a subtle grey plaid for the underlays. The outermost layers of the Yung-1 come in black, while the middle sections lend a pop of color in your choice of purple or red. Currently, no plans for a stateside release have been announced, though they are expected to drop soon.
