The adidas and Y-3 collection never stops expanding. As Yohji Yamamoto added luxurious takes to athletic sneakers and clothing for the past couple of years now, fans still love when the collaboration expands. And now it appears Y-3 will be jumping back into the future with their very own 4D IO silhouette.

Joining forces in 20013, adidas and Y-3 has been at this for a while. Yohji has continued to add alternate takes to standard adidas silhouettes and clothing pieces throughout the lineage and now as 4D has taken over the adidas release calendars, it appears Yamamoto has worked up his own sneaker exclusively for Y-3.

This iteration features a white translucent upper where a grid-like pattern is placed covering the majority of the sneakers’ build. Underneath black contrasting underlays can be seen that showcases Y-3 branding on the lateral side paneling as well as the usual Three Stripes branding on the medial. Black then contrasts on the outer portions appearing on shaping overlays on the toe and heel while also being incorporated in the lacing system and leather overlays on the toe and heel. A black 4D midsole and rubber outsole will then finish off the fresh new silhouette.

ADIDAS Y-3 RUNNER 4D IO RELEASE INFORMATION

As of right now, it looks like the adidas Y-3 Runner 4D IO is just a sample but the surfacing if the silhouette can very well mean a release will be going down in the coming months. It’ll be interesting to see if and when the Y-3 Runner 4D releases if it will look anything like this sample here. As always, make sure to keep it locked to JustFreshKicks for updates and the latest sneaker news.
