adidas Y-3 has been a staple of the brand for over a decade now, and the high fashion collaboration is still going strong. This month, adidas and Y-3 plan to introduce the Ratio Racer, a simple new silhouette featuring a full-length Boost midsole.
Yohji Yamamoto’s extensive collaborative brand with adidas is expanding once again this month. Simply known as Y-3, the label allows adidas to distribute high-end goods at a premium price, thanks to Yohji’s standing in the fashion community. This month, the pair are set to introduce a new footwear silhouette to the already extensive lineup, taking some inspiration from one of the brand’s best-selling models. Titled the Ratio Racer, the latest Y-3 footwear combines the adidas I-5923’s full-length Boost midsole with a brand new Primeknit upper. Arriving in both white and black colorways, the Ratio Racer adds large layers to the outside to build a unique new lacing system. Built for casual wear, the new silhouette’s tongue is significantly taller than the heel, giving the Ratio Racer a distinct slipper-like look. Making use of another new adidas technology, the midsoles of both pairs are covered in black and red Y-3 logos underneath the tread.
ADIDAS Y-3 RATIO RUNNER RELEASE INFORMATION
