The adidas Sobakov debuted as a sleeper hit in 2018. Now a full year into its life cycle, the terrace/soccer-inspired shoe is still making the rounds with new colorways. Next month, the Sobakov takes on the famous look of its inspiration- the Predator.
The Sobakov shares almost the same shape as the terrace-inspired sneaker from several months ago. However, the single-piece suede upper has been replaced with a thick, ribbed knit material. The leather hits on the tongue and heel are still present, along with the toe box stitching, though there are some subtle differences. The stripes on either side are no longer a series of perforations, instead, the white stripes take inspiration from the adidas Predator line. The stripes extend from the heel and feature a sharp tooth-like shape for an aggressive look. The latest colorway of the Sobakov to surface online finally pays homage to the silhouette’s inspiration; the legendary Predator franchise. The new look sports a crisp black upper jaggedly marked by plain white stripes. The translucent midsole comes in a milky white colorway, while a flash of red leather at the heel completes the vintage styling.
