adidas Originals is going crazy with their new Yung franchise. This week, the previously women’s exclusive Falcon surfaces in two new tonal colorways that will be made available for both male and female fans of the silhouette.
adidas’ Falcon silhouette is one of the most interesting silhouettes to debut this year. The adidas Archives are filled with nearly 70 years worth of impressive footwear innovation and history, and the Falcondorf was buried in the 90’s section. The plan to relaunch the shoe is relatively new as even a year and a half ago adidas had no intentions of bringing back the shoe. Since then, dad shoes have taken over and the brand has had to adjust.
The new Falcon features a very similar design to the original pair from 1996. The sole is exactly the same as the original, as well as this year’s Yung-1 the official re0release. However, the upper of the new adidas Falcon has been reworked for a more modern look. For the latest release, the Falcon has been dressed up in black and light grey colorways. Both pairs are matched with hits of hot pink, pale green, and blue, though the locations are altered on both shoes to prevent similarities. Last month, we heard word that the Falcon would become a unisex shoe, though the release information has not indicated that for these colorways yet.
ADIDAS FALCON GREY TWO & CORE BLACK RELEASE INFORMATION
The next drop of the adidas Falcon is scheduled for sometime in August 2018, though no specific date has been released yet. The tonal grey and black colorways will retail for the standard $100 price tag, and launch from both adidas and select retailers.
