The adidas EQT franchise is prepping for a return in 2022, preluded by the anniversary project that released over the course of the end of 2021. This week, we have an early look at a new weather-ready EQT CGS ’91, coming soon.

The adidas Originals EQT Anniversary collection kicked off the thirty-year celebration for the storied franchise, but has remained relatively quiet in the new year, despite the promise of a full-fledged EQT retro run. Luckily, we got our first taste of what’s to come this week, with an early look at a new special-edition version of the EQT CSG ’91, a hybrid model that was originally designed to blend performance aspects from the EQT Cushion, Support, and Guidance silhouettes. This version of the CSG ’91 embraces the silhouette’s disposition for the outdoors, rebuilding the silhouette in DWR-coated nubuck and leather, while a Gore-Tex inner lining makes the shoe practically invincible. To round it out, the CSG ’91 is cast in beautiful shades of brown with hints of EQT green to complete the look.

adidas Originals’ latest release of the EQT CSG 91, a dark-brown Gore-Tex-clad edition, has not yet been announced for release though they are expected to launch sometime in the coming weeks. Featuring a waterproof inner lining, this EQT will likely be available from both adidas and select retailers, with a price tag of at least $150 attached for the Gore and premium materials. UPDATE 3/12/22: adidas has slated their release of the EQT CSG ’91 Gore-Tex in shades of brown for this Tuesday, March 15th, 2022. The waterproofed Equipment silhouette will be available directly from the brand’s website alongside secondary retailers for $160.
