The C.P. Company and adidas have long been rumored to be working on a collaboration together. After the new Kamanda silhouette released in the supposed collaborative colorway, we finally have a full look at the extensive collection.
The C.P. Company is not exactly a household name among sneaker collectors, though it may be after this collaboration with adidas. Founded in Italy in 1975 by Massimo Osti, (known for founding the iconic Stone Island brand) the label originally went under the name of Chester Perry and produced high-end, forward-thinking items. The Kamanda makes this the perfect shoe to take on C.P.’s signature style, a brand new silhouette featuring classic, modern, and futuristic design elements.
Featuring the first collaboration of the adidas Kamanda, the new C.P. Company project is brilliant. As the latest addition to adidas’ arsenal of footwear, the Kamanda is the most exciting shoe from the collection. Dressed in brown and green colorways, the new silhouette has been reworked in two separate materials, each with their own unique look. The brown pair features a similar build to the original, with a thin suede layer running around the top of the sole, as well as a reinforced heel cup as opposed to the leather heel tab. The green pair keeps the leather tab as well as adding a nylon strap, and ditches the perforated stripes for more nylon.
The rest of the footwear selection curated by the C.P. Company features a rebuilt adidas Marathon TR in black with blue accents, as well as three simple Sambas in red, white, and navy. The extensive collaboration is also set to include several of the C.P. Company’s goggle jackets, reworked into adidas styles covering a range of materials and colorways, each with co-branding on the sleeves.

The C.P. Company’s extensive project with adidas was recently announced for release on August 24th, 2018. An extended price list for the collection has not been revealed yet, though the special edition jackets and premium footwear will likely be marked above their standard retail prices.
