Action Bronson’s colorful take on the New Balance 990v6 is set to release this week, and already the artist and chef has teased another color scheme of the new runner, this time in a ‘Lapis Lazuli’ palette.
Queens, NY rapper, chef, and personality Action Bronson has been slowly cooking up a partnership with New Balance over the last few years. This week, he will release his debut with the Boston footwear brand, the ‘Baklava‘ 990v6. In addition to teasing the Friday release, Bronson also gave us an early look at another potential colorway in the lineup, this time in a ‘Lapis Lazuli’-themed look. The name comes from a metamorphic that is also a semi-precious stone, known for its unique blue, purple, and yellow appearance. The 990v6 follows suit, mixing dark navy mesh underlays with dark teal and purple overlays. The midsole comes nearly entirely in yellow, while silver metallic accents and hiking boot laces complete the look.

Action Bronson’s second colorway of the New Balance 990v6 has not been announced for release yet, though we hope to see them launch sometime in the coming weeks, possibly alongside the ‘Baklava’ pair. Dressed in a dark ‘Lapis Lazuli’ themed palette, pairs will likely come with an elevated price tag of $220, releasing from the New Balance website.
