Acronym and Nike are known for their futuristic and out of this world collaborations. Now, after a leaked pair surfaced online last month, the Acronym x Nike Air Vapormax Flyknit Moc 2 has been confirmed for release this month.
Acronym and Nike are up to something. The tech-wear brand known for creating out-there Nike silhouettes is once again working with the Swoosh on a new project. Last year, Nike tapped the Errolson Hugh-led brand to help introduce the Air Vapormax to the world. Acronym did so in grand fashion, reconstructing the shoe’s upper for a new moccasin-like look even before the original shoes released publicly. Now, after recent rumors that the duo is bringing back 2016’s famed Acronym Air Presto silhouette, New York City’s Extra Butter has announced a release date for the next Acroynm Vapormax Moc. The new version will help commemorate the Nike Air Vapormax Flyknit 2 launch for Air Max month. The sneaker features a single piece Flyknit upper with a houndstooth pattern on it. The sharp edges of the design are done in black and white, making these shoes pop from your feet. The laces of the Vapormax Flyknit 2 have been replaced with a simple elastic strap for the Moc version, which has been dyed a neon green for the new Acronym-fronted iteration.
