adidas Spezial’s final release of 2020 is almost here, bringing back the fan-favorite Manchester 89 trainer for a special-edition release cloaked in shades of blue to honor the city’s love of the Three Stripes.
adidas’ Spezial line was created to celebrate some of the most beloved trainers in the Three Stripes archives, particularly those well known throughout the United Kingdom and European nations. Trainers and terrace culture has been a part of this lifestyle since the ’70s and ’80s, a tradition which adidas loves to pay tribute to through the Special lineup. This week’s release brings back a fan-favorite silhouette into the mix, the Manchester 89, which was initially released in 2002 for Manchester’s Commonwealth Games. Now, the Manchester returns in a dark navy blue upper with accents in baby blue and neon red to complete the look.

The sleek dark blue edition of the classic trainer will be available from both adidas and select retailers, with a price tag of approximately $120.
