The adidas Superstar is celebrating a whopping 50 years of success in 2020, while one of the brand’s collaborative partners, size?, celebrates its 20th. This week, the two teamed up to show off an upcoming Superstar “Tribute”, honoring both anniversary celebrations.
size? and adidas are both celebrating special milestones in 2020. For the United Kingdom-based retailer, that marker is 20 years of operation and collaboration with some of the best sneaker brands in the world. For adidas, that marker is 50 whole years of the Superstar, one of the world’s most important sneakers. Now, the two are teaming up to celebrate both at once, with this new size? x adidas Superstar “Tribute”. This special release is directly inspired by the “City Series” of Superstar releases that went down in 2005 for the Superstar’s 35th anniversary, with this 2020 version applying the patterns and imagery to represent seven different global cities, including London, Paris, New York, Tokyo, Buenos Aires, Berlin, and Boston. The shoe features a myriad of different colors across the premium leather upper and is completed by 50/20 markings around the shoe in honor of each brand’s anniversary.
SIZE? X ADIDAS SUPERSTAR “TRIBUTE” RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest project from United Kingdom-based retailer size? and adidas, the Superstar “Tribute”, will be released later this week via raffle, exclusively from the retailer’s website. Honoring seven cities across the Superstar’s upper, the “Tribute” colorway will likely come with a price tag in the $140 range, and will be strictly a size? exclusive.
